A Return to the Original Design: The Genesis of ALTAR and the Holiness of Being Human

A declaration, an invitation, and the birth of Modern Psalms for a New Earth.

I have been chasing after God since I was ten years old. Sitting on a beach in Gulf Shores, Alabama I asked my mom where sand came from. I was seeking to understand myself and the great mystery of the world around me. It was then that I was introduced to this undeniable concept of being able to touch something bigger than myself, and from that moment on, I wanted to do exactly that. I wanted to touch the divine.

But for a long time, the modern spiritual and self-help worlds told me to look outward. We are taught to look outside of ourselves, handing our power over to dogmatic ideologies that insist there is only one right way. We are conditioned to keep our senses pointed outward, always seeking, always grasping, but never truly finding what we are looking for.

ALTAR is the end of that search.

ALTAR invites you to go on the journey inward and realize that God is already within you.

You hold the power. You hold the key to unlock your own freedom, and it does not live in chasing anything external.

The concept for ALTAR came to me clearly, dropping into my channel as an acronym: Abundance, Love, Truth, Awakening, Remembrance. It was a framework, yes, but it was also a maturation pathway—moving us from fragmentation to integration, and finally, into embodied leadership.

The specific moment I knew this had to be a book happened over twelve months ago, driving home from LA. I was in a season of my life where I finally felt abundant, loved, safe, and held. I was in the most loving relationship of my life. I was finally in a stable enough place to birth this into the world.

On that drive, the psalms just started to come through. I started annotating them out loud into my phone. By the time I arrived back in Las Vegas it was clear. This simply wanted to exist almost as if it had its own soul. Like a child coming into the world, it just announced itself: I’m here. I am coming through now.

We are at a tipping point in consciousness. There is a desperate, collective need for us to return to the original design—to our essence, to love and unity, to our humanity, and to our connection to Source. That is why ALTAR came through me now, and why it is coming into the world now.

It is so much more than a book. It is an initiatory path of spiritual remembrance.

For anyone who is rigidly set in their ways, closed-minded, or clinging to the belief that their specific brand of religiosity or “churchianity” is the only truth—this work will probably piss them off. It is mystical. It challenges the boundaries of dogma.

But for those willing to practice and engage with the altar? Everything changes.

If you commit to this path, so much gets revealed. Your true essence, your truest self, starts to come back online and you begin to see with devastating clarity where you have abandoned yourself, where you have betrayed yourself, and where your deepest wounds still live. But you also learn how to infuse those spaces with love.

As a result, your creativity and self-expression return. Color and vibrancy come back online. Eros and desire come back online. Where you were once frozen and numb, you start to feel sensation again.

ALTAR brings us back to a fundamental truth that we have forgotten: there is something deeply holy in being human. Divinity is woven into the very design of our humanity—in our bodies, in our breath, and in our nervous systems. That is what this work invites us to reconnect with.

This is the foundation of the How to Stay Human movement. It is about building the capacity to hold the full spectrum of our lived experience, without bypassing the pain or outsourcing our authority.
